Articles: MTV’s The Wrap Up

MTV The Wrap Up

I have a passion for music and writing and when I was allowed to combine them for writing posts with The Guestlist Network and SoulCulture, I was at my happiest. I listen to music on a daily basis and always talk to people about it and pass on any gossip or news that I may have too. When I went to seek out opportunities of writing for more music-based blogs and websites, I was welcomed and guided by the Editor (at that current time) of MTV UK‘s Urban section, The Wrap UpJoseph ‘JP’ Patterson. He encouraged me to come up with article ideas and show him what I could do.  Now I am a published writer for MTV UK. Again, another dream come true!

ALBUM REVIEW: ROCHELLE JORDAN – ‘PRESSURE’ (FREE DOWNLOAD)
“This year there have been a fair amount of artists who are actively trying to revive the R&B genre and push it forward, with their own modern eclectic take on it. One of the bright shining lights who has been a part of this alternative R&B movement is Toronto R&B singer and songwriter Rochelle Jordan. After dropping her official debut album ‘ROJO’ last year, she lit up the scene, becoming a true staple of music blogs and websites…”

R&B CLASSICS: MINNIE RIPERTON – ‘MEMORY LANE’
“Saying goodbye to life and the subject of death is rarely talked about amongst singers; there seems to be a fear about it. But in 1979, legendary r&b songbird Minnie Riperton tapped into that subject by using her personal situation at that time and the emotion that it brings.
