Social Media: Heritage Lottery Fund – #YoungRoots

A grant being given to young people to carry out heritage programs involving their communities and the area’s roots

I was working as a PR and Social Media Specialist for Youth Media Agency in London, when this client campaign started. I was in charge of writing tweets and sample blog posts and using my own contacts and the existing mailing list to reach out to companies and brands associated with young people via social media with the hashtag #YoungRoots.

For the launch event of this program, Heritage Lottery Fund in association with the Youth Media Agency put on an event at the Fitzwilliam Museum in the University of Cambridge. We live-tweeted the event which included multi-arts performers, interviews, case studies and information about the Young Roots program and how to apply for it.
